Thought I’d give you another couple of web apps that will blow you away: -
Animoto.com – Upload images and music (or select from their music) and it will produce a TV quality, ultra-slick video in minutes. You can get 30 second ones free, or pay a small amount for longer videos. They have also just introduced a $5 DVD quality download service, and a professional account for $250 that allows you as many downloads as you want, and reduces the size of their logo to a “powered by Animoto”.
We use this for front desk video, which we show on digital photo frames, as well as to spruce up presentations.
jibjab.com – This one is a bit silly, but can be good in the right circumstances. There are all sorts of silly videos such as ‘farting happy birthday’ which you can map faces onto the characters in the video. Use with caution as it may offend, but for the right person….
btw – I listen in the car
Forgot to mention that Animoto’s $250 account allows you to resell the videos you create.
Thanks for sharing those.
I have played with both those and I think we posted a link to a JIB JAB video of Ailsa and myself but we have since removed it.
I would like to explain web apps more fully one day but I fear Ailsa is not ready…
I am currently looking at SproutCore as a way to allow quick development. It is an Open source framework sponsored by Apple I think to make sure there is a free and non proprietary system available to developers.
