You didn’t post the link up for the download stats page. I was interested to see where it was, as the download speed, latency etc is related to geographic location.
Believe it or not I have big problems with this as the main site of the sister company of the one I work for is served from Europe. They have huge latency issues, which they think is a problem with bandwidth in the office. THey have simplified it a bit now, but the home page was taking about 40 seconds to load. Mostly because of repeated calls to the server for spacer gifs (yes they are still using table based design too) and the latency in getting the replies.
