This week we take a look at a case study. Turlee Station Stay.

Turlee Station have been promoting their accommodation services using various means online.

We take a good look at their stats and attempt to analyze the success with Adwords.

We also offer some advice for generic search and in particular the use of Social Media sites like Flickr and You Tube.

We see that dropbox has finally managed to secure a more appropriate domain than getdropbox.com

This week Ailsa and I discuss Search Engine Optimisation and Google Adwords or other sponsored links.

We dissect in detail what SEO might involve and suggest perhaps the use of a professional for this on your site.

Adwords can be handled personally but again there are advantages in using a trained professional.

Also helpful is a spot of Google Optimisation and a simple A/B testing kit for your site to assess text and call to action styles and text.

If you are wondering if you should DIY or hire for any of these services and you wish to ask Ailsa, use the “Ask Ailsa” link and she will email you back an opinion.

Ailsa is all over the Brownlow in an attempt to get some free publicity.

Thanks to Bruce Keogh and the email regarding last weeks stress test of the Benalla Online portal.

We mention some sites that offer paid for Templates for WordPress and the Theme viewer for free templates as a way to try out the new technology approach to the web portal.

Also we mentioned user feedback would be a simple part of the admin under WordPress or Drupal.

Deborah Selleck gets an opportunity to raise her profile as a designer as her dress is worn by the fiance of the eventual winner of the best and fairest award for the AFL.

Photo gallery images online at the Herald Sun are good PR but with no content online at deborahselleck.com.au missed the mark.

Google Adwords stops retailers using brand names as keywords in Australia.
